A full service boarding and training facility
The Taos Equestrian Center offers many exciting and instructional horse-related activities, including riding lessons, boarding facilities, training programs and an innovative new equine-assisted psychotherapy program. Here participants can learn, practice and enjoy jumping, cross-country riding, trail riding and Western-style riding. Facilities also include dressage arena, roundpen, covered arena, a full sized outdoor arena, a full set of stadium jumps, and speed event equipment. With several experienced lesson horses, the center offers classes to children through adults at all levels of skill.

This beautiful facility offers short and long term boarding with all the amenities, including stalls with turnouts, outdoor paddocks, heated indoor wash rack with hot and cold water, and 24-hour supervision.

Horses as healers
The Taos Equestrian Center is proud of it's latest specialized activity–equine-assisted psychotherapy, an internationally recognized short-term, solution-focused intervention. This therapy helps clients to understand their communication patterns and relationship dynamics. Each session allows for direct observation of behaviors and patterns, assisting clients to discover new, more effective solutions to the challenges they face in each session and in life. The therapy can be a powerful adjunct to traditional counseling.
